A recent clinical study published in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry explored the effects of CBD as a potential remedy for obesity.
The study found that CBD accomplished 3 key factors that promoted real, sustainable weight loss in subjects:
- Decrease in protein activity related to fat cell generation
- Stimulation of genes and proteins that enhance fat breakdown
- Increase in mitochondria (and calorie-burning power in turn)
Each of these factors is directly related to CBD’s ability to induce a process often referred to as “fat browning” …
To understand fat browning, it’s important to understand that fat isn’t necessarily the enemy.
This is something most dieters already know, that there are “good fats” and “bad fats.” In this case, the better fat is referred to as Brown Adipose Tissue (BAT), since BAT is the kind of fat that’s burned for metabolic purposes—while White Adipose Tissue (WAT) is used for storage in the body.
By converting white fat to brown fat, CBD is able to naturally kick-start calorie burning and weight loss, improving the body’s glucose tolerance and providing a wealth of additional benefits to go with it.
But that’s just the beginning …
