Matt, US Army Veteran
“Cannabis helps me more than the dozens of prescription drugs the VA had me on.”
Condition: During a walking patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan, Matt was injured by an improvised explosive device. He suffers from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, insomnia, debilitating migraines and chronic pain. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his valor.
Treatments before cannabis: Matt was treated by the Veteran’s Administration with dozens of prescription drugs including Oxycontin and Codeine in an attempt to control
his pain and allow him to sleep.
Cannabis treatments: Matt began using cannabis to relieve his pain and promote sleep. He uses CBD patches for his migraines, and CBN patches to sleep. He uses a CBD
transdermal gel pen to stop migraines quickly as they start.
Results: Matt rarely uses any prescription drugs anymore. He now is able to control his symptoms and sleep more normally with cannabis medicinals. He is also beginning to work with Operation.
